We are a full-service lawn care and landscaping company based in Louisville, KY that caters to residential and commercial clients.


We proudly offer various services to enhance your lawn and landscaping so that they have impressive curb appeal, function to your needs, and fit into your budget. All of our services are offered for residential and commercial properties, except snow and ice management.

We provide service to all of Jefferson County, including Fern Creek, St. Matthews, Middletown, Jeffersontown, Audubon Park, Glenmary, the Highlands, Hikes Point, and Lake Forest, as well as surrounding communities such as Mt. Our History

In 1979, as a young man, I asked my father - J.J. Volz Sr. - for a bicycle. So he bought me a 22” push mower, electric weed-eater, and push broom so that I could earn the money I needed to buy myself the bike. I earned enough money to buy the bike, and I continued mowing through high school and college. I started with nine residential accounts that I maintained every week. All of these accounts were friends of the family.


I could say, “The rest is history,” but that’s not our entire story. I worked a full-time job while continuing to grow my mowing business. With the blessings from my wife, Jane, in 1987, I resigned from my full-time position to concentrate on increasing my lawn and landscaping business. In 1988, my brother Corky joined the business full-time. Once my father retired in 1990, he joined the company, managing our office and enhancing the customer experience.

Since then, we have served the Louisville area as a full-service lawn and landscaping company. With the help of many great team members and the business and loyalty of our customers, we grew from 9 accounts to being recognized as a Top 10 Small Business in the nation by Landscape Management Magazine, Best of Kentuckiana, and voted Neighborhood Favorite by Nextdoor users. We are also an accredited business with the Better Business Bureau with an A+ rating.
